NIDV-symposium 2014

NIDV-symposium 2014

On the 20th of November AEP International exhibitioned at the NIDV-symposium 2014 in Ahoy Rotterdam. The NIDV stands for the Netherlands Defence Manufacturers Association. This association promotes optimal involvement of the Netherlands industry in both national and international defence markets. This year’s theme was; “From reorganization towards participation”. Our range of thermal imaging camera’s for Homeland Security and Law Enforcement resonated well with the other products which were exhibited. We initiated many new high-value contacts within these markets and are therefore very positive about the effectiveness of this symposium.

We look forward being part of the next NIDV-symposium in 2015.

AEP In cooperation with IFV

AEP in cooperation with IFV

The changes in the design of buildings and materials used herein have structurally changed the nature of house fires. Research shows that in modern homes flashovers are reached eight times be faster than homes built 50 years ago.

From Monday, November 20, to Thursday, November 23, 2014, the IFV collaborated with the Dutch Fire Department and conducted several unique fire experiments in Zutphen. Seven terraced houses were furnished with modern furniture and became the stage of an experiment being simulated in a realistic way. Within these houses, several measuring tools were mounted, so the development of the fire was fully monitored. Among these measuring tools was one of our thermal imagers; The Argus 4. Through direct streaming it became possible for the IFV to visually follow the development of the fire. Besides capturing impressively sharp images, the Argus 4 has also shown its resistance to extreme temperature (+/- 800 ⁰C = 1470 ⁰F ).

Veilig Werkt Beter

Veilig Werkt Beter 2014

From Tuesday the 4th until Thursday, the 6th of November, AEP International exposed at the trade event Veilig Werkt Beter 2014. The brand essence of our thermal imaging product line is ‘Safety’, this corresponded perfectly with the essence of the exhibition. We are very satisfied with the new contacts we’ve met during these three days.
Besides visiting our booth, it was also possible for visitors to experience our products in a realistic training enviroment. In the outdoor area was a demo-site, offering our latest thermal imaging camera; Argus Mi-TIC. Visitor had the opportunity to use the Mi-TIC and search in a smoke-filled room for HAAGEN’s latest product; the “Thermal Manikin”. The “Thermal Manikin” is a training manikin developed for thermal imaging training. It gives of heat similar to body temperature and is therefore very comparable to a real victim. We want HAAGEN and VeTraNed to thank for this successful cooperation!
